Dwarf Pencil Fish – Nannostomus marginatus (Family: Lebiasinidae)

Behavior: It is a bit timid and likes its fellow dwarfs so its better to have few of them in your aquarium. They will grow to about 3 cms when adult and are slow swimmers so you will have plenty of time to admire them!.

If you want to have the common ones, you can choose black moor, fantail, or veiltail. If you want to have the exotic ones, you can have oranda or ranchu. Tilapia are usually though of as being a fish for your plate more than an aquarium fish, but these fish can also be good in aquariums. Tilapia are very hardy and strong fish that can adapt well to many conditions and will eat just about anything.

This can make tilapia good to keep in an aquarium but they are not so good as community fish since they can be territorial and because they will eat just about anything.
