Stir Crazy

I appreciate the guest post, Rodrigo Coffey

I am the opposite of a homebody. I can barely sit at home for more than two hours without going completely stir crazy. I love to people watch, and I find it so boring to sit on the couch for hours. This is frustrating for my husband, because he enjoys the ability to sit at home on the weekends and watch television. It’s not fun for him to field my constant barrage of pleas to go to lunch, or go to the park or a museum. I guess I can understand how that would be pretty annoying, now that I think about it. So I recently decided that I would no longer aggravate him on the weekends. I started letting him sit around and do his own thing, and I take my laptop and go sit in the park. Yes, you heard me correctly—I can use my laptop (fully functionally!) in the park. It’s pretty awesome. After months and months of being subjected to my whining that “we never do anything,” my husband went crazy doing internet searches for Auburn 4g and surprised me with Clear internet. I can take my internet connection with me wherever I go, and he’s left to do what he does best—be lazy. It’s a pretty good tradeoff.

Getting out of a funk

Author: Dorsey Velasquez

I have been trying to change things in my life and nothing seems to be working. So I decided to make a huge change and move to Las Vegas. I know it probably sounds crazy and to be honest, it probably is. However, I had hit rock bottom and was in a dead end job. There was really nothing keeping me where I was. Sometimes a change is good just to get things moving. Nonetheless, I am now I happy Vegas resident. It is actually not as bad as it might sound. I thought that Vegas was all fun and games. Even though that was part of the reason why I came, I am glad that is not all it is. The neighborhood I live in is great. The houses are little, but perfect. To be honest, as long as I get directv las vegas, I could care less about how big the house is. I have a fun job at one of the casinos. I know it is probably not going to lead to a career, but it is helping me through my funk. I will get on the career path again soon, but right now I just need to have fun.

TLC Shows

Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes

I got direct tv for the sports channels but Lord I can’t help but watch TLC all day long. They’ve got all these great shows about weddings and babies and I just can’t seem to tear myself away! There’s a show on there called I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant which is just absurd, if you ask me…how do you not know you’re pregnant, seriously? I also really like Say Yes to the Dress because I just got married back in January but I think my all time favorite show has to be 19 Kids and Counting. Those Duggars are so resourceful and I think it’s so neat that they’ve got a big family (I’m an only child) and now that I’m thinking about becoming a mom I don’t know HOW they do it with so many kids. I just think they’re a great family with a nice heart and I love watching their everyday routines. I read recently that Michelle had a miscarriage which is really sad but she is in her mid 40s at this point…

Love the Cats!

Thanks to Roman May

Having cats is so much better than dogs, in my opinion, partly because they’re so much cleaner. Sure they shed and bring in the occasional dead animal but they don’t drool or fart or eat loudly or anything like that which just makes them a lot more pleasurable to have around if you ask me. My cats, Tabby and Tamera, are my whole life and they’re really great indoor animals. They love sleeping on the furniture and chasing their little mouse toy around and even setting off the alarm systems when I’m asleep (that’s less fun) but they’re adorable and when they curl up like balls in my lap I just don’t know what to do with myself. I can’t imagine how people wouldn’t like cats because to me they’re literally the perfect pet. Not too needy, awesomely independent and totally not gross! I guess I’m just more of a “cat person” than a dog person, that’s for sure. I’ve always been this way, even since we had a lab growing up in Indiana.

Bringing our Kitchen up to Date

Guest post written by Joshua King

When we bought our house a year ago, we already knew a few things that we would have to do to make our home up to par, or at least in our opinion. But we spent so much money in purchasing the house that we knew we would have to hold off a bit on doing those other things around our house. One of those was remodeling our kitchen.

But now we’re thinking about actually starting the remodeling and have started doing research on it. While I was online doing some research on it, I ran across some info on Sears Kitchen Remodling and after I looked through it a little bit I decided to use them for our remodeling project.

I know that we want an island put in, along with new appliances and countertops. The former owners just didn’t do any remodeling for a long time and I think that it definitely shows. I think that we’ll want to take advantage of our spacious kitchen and use it more often once we get all the remodeling taken care of.
